Student Safety Features Through BARK
Student Safety Features Through BARK

Sto-Rox School District now uses Bark for Schools to help us monitor school-issued accounts for signs of digital dangers. When potential issues like cyberbullying, suicidal ideation, and threats of violence arise, Bark sends us a notification. Parents and guardians can benefit from receiving these alerts, as well.

Get Alerts With the Free Parent Portal

Kids use their school-issued accounts both at school and at home, and families are often in a better position to respond to urgent alerts after hours, on weekends, and during breaks. These are times when administration may not be available in the event of an emergency. In the coming days, you will receive an invitation to create your free account for the Bark for Schools Parent Portal. As soon as you opt in, you’ll start receiving after-hours alerts when Bark detects potentially time-sensitive issues.

If you do not get an invitation, please contact the school secretary to have your contact email updated in our system.

Road Closure - effect on Bus Stops for Hi...
Due to the partial closure of McCoy Road effective 7/20/20 through 12/2020, the district will eliminate the school bus stops for Jr/Sr High school students at McCoy Rd & Dunn St, and at Norwood Park for the 2020-2021 school year.  High School students who previously used these stops will be required to walk to school.  All other district students, charter students and parochial students may have their stops moved because of this closure. The adjustments to stops and routes will be in effect for the entire year, regardless of the road reopening. All routes will be reevaluated to account for detours and for the most efficient plan possible.
