Sto-Rox School District will hold a town hall meeting Wednesday, April 24, focusing on the district’s mental health services and after-school programming. There will also be a virtual option for people who cannot make it in-person, and more information will be provided closer to the meeting date.

Sto-Rox Athletics is holding a get-together for alumni and friends - an Alumni Social - in an effort to get everyone up to speed on the status of the Vikings’ athletic programs. This Sto-Rox Athletics Alumni Social will be held Friday, April 19 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at JD’s Joint in Kennedy Township. Appetizers will be served, and refreshments will be available.

The Sto-Rox School District and community partners are excited to host local families for a Kindergarten/Early Learning Night - ABC’s of Learning’ at Sto-Rox Primary Center on Wednesday, April 17, from 5 - 7 p.m. We encourage all families, especially those looking to enroll their children in preschool and Kindergarten, to come out and see what the district and its partners have to offer during this Title I Event.

The district has updated dismissal times for each of the three school buildings on Monday, April 8, due to the solar eclipse. They are as follows:

• Jr./Sr. High School - 11:30 a.m.
• Upper Elementary - Noon
• Primary Center - 12:30 p.m.

We are communicating these updated dismissal times with ABC Transit to ensure every student who takes transportation will get home in a timely manner. Additionally, there will be no athletics or after school activities on that day.

Black History Month at the Jr./Sr. High School will culminate with a celebration known as S.O.U.L., Showcasing Our Unique Legacy, on February 29 from Noon to 2 p.m. The Sto-Rox Jr./Sr. High School Culture Club will host the celebration along with many of the above events throughout February.
