Sto-Rox School District invites parents and guardians to participate in an upcoming virtual training session focused on supporting student success in the classroom.
The session, Sensory Processing & Impact on Functional Performance and Participation in the Classroom, will be held on Tuesday, April 28, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., presented by Jill Smolenski, MOT, OTR.
During this informative session, families will learn how children process sensory information such as movement, sound, touch, and body awareness. The presentation will explore how sensory differences can affect learning, behavior, and classroom participation. Parents and guardians will also gain practical strategies from school-based occupational therapy to support focus, self-regulation, and overall success throughout the school day.
This training will be held remotely. Families interested in attending are asked to complete the registration form using the button below. A meeting link will be emailed to all registered participants prior to the session.
