Sto-Rox Jr./Sr. High School Holds S.O.U.L. Celebration

Students and staff at Sto-Rox Jr./Sr. High School closed Black History Month on Friday with an annual celebration of Black excellence. The 4th annual S.O.U.L. Celebration took place in the Jr./Sr. High School, and it featured student performances ranging from poetry to dance. S.O.U.L., which stands for Showcasing Our Unique Legacy, gives students a chance to engage and explore Black history in Sto-Rox and beyond. Community partners offered interactive activities, and several key Sto-Rox figures attended include Brack Barr, Sto-Rox’s first Black teacher. Check out photos from Friday’s event, below.
