Sto-Rox School District invites parents and guardians to participate in an upcoming virtual training session focused on preparing students for life after high school.
The training, “Looking Ahead: Transition Planning for Life After High School,” will be presented by Dr. Erin Grimm of the Allegheny Intermediate Unit on Thursday, March 19, from 1 p.m. - 2 p.m.
Transition planning helps students prepare for adulthood, including employment, higher education, and independent living. During this session, parents will learn:
When transition planning begins for students
What federal and state laws require
How families can support their child in developing important life and career skills
The session will be held remotely.
Parents are encouraged to RSVP in advance to receive the meeting information.
