Sto-Rox School District invites families to join us for a Financial Aid Night Presentation on Wednesday, October 8, at 6:00 p.m. in the Sto-Rox Jr./Sr. High School Cafeteria.

Families are invited to join Sto-Rox Primary Center Principal, Dr. Mumau, and Assistant Principal, Mr. Liparulo, for Coffee & Conversation on Wednesday, September 17, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

On Tuesday, September 2, at approximately 11:50 a.m. during recess, a Kindergarten student wandered away from the playground at Sto-Rox Primary Center. Law enforcement was notified immediately and led the investigation while the district conducted a full search of the building and surrounding areas.

While we are deeply relieved and grateful that the missing student from our Primary Center was found safe last night, we recognize the significant impact this incident had on the student’s family, our staff, and the community at large.

The Sto-Rox School District invites community and school partners—both on- and off-site—to join us for a Meet & Greet on Tuesday, September 16, from 4:15 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The event will take place in the Sto-Rox Jr./Sr. High School cafeteria, with entry through the Valley Street cafeteria doors.

For Tony Paull, joining Sto-Rox as the Director of Curriculum, Assessment, and Instruction feels like home. As a Pittsburgh native and an experienced teacher and school leader of more than 20 years, the Sto-Rox community is just as excited to bring him on to lead this new position.

The Sto-Rox Primary Center is excited to announce the opening of its brand-new playground, built this spring through a special community partnership.

The Sto-Rox School District is proud to introduce our new Superintendent, Mrs. Sonya Coleman, a dedicated professional with 25 years of experience in education, school transformation, and strategic leadership.

The 2025-2026 school year officially began on Monday, August 25, with a warm community welcome across all Sto-Rox schools.
