Sto-Rox Students Welcomed Back for the First Day of School

The 2025-2026 school year officially began on Monday, August 25, with a warm community welcome across all Sto-Rox schools.

The day kicked off at the Jr./Sr. High School, with the second annual P.R.I.D.E. (Positively Raising It In Determined Effort) Community Pep Rally, hosted in partnership with Steel City Impact. Community members, faculty and staff, and other familiar faces gather with signs and music to cheer on students in grades 7-12 as they entered the building for the first day of classes.

The excitement carried over to the Upper Elementary, where staff, administrators, and community partners lined the sidewalks to greet students in grades 4-6 with the same smiles and encouragement shown at the high school.

At the Primary Center, the youngest Vikings were welcomed with just as much energy as principals and teachers guided students through the doors and reassured families during drop-off.

Each school celebrated the start of a new school year with pride and positivity, ensuring students felt supported from the very first moment they arrived.

The first day of school was a true community effort, and we are grateful to everyone who helped make it such a positive start and set the tone for a successful year ahead.
