Sto-Rox School District Announces New Virtual Learning Partnership with Seneca Valley School District

Sto-Rox School District is proud to announce a new partnership with Seneca Valley School District beginning in the 2026-2027 school year, expanding opportunities for students through an enhanced virtual learning program.

The redesigned Virtual Vikings Program will offer students a flexible and engaging online learning experience, including both synchronous (live) and asynchronous (self-paced) instruction. Courses will be supported by certified teachers from Seneca Valley School District, ensuring high-quality instruction and a broad range of course offerings. Students will be offered the same level of courses, including Advanced Placement (AP) courses.

The program is designed to support student independence while maintaining accountability. Attendance monitoring will occur where students will be required to check in daily, but will have the flexibility to manage their learning schedule as long as coursework is completed on time.

To support student success, Sto-Rox School District has a designated Virtual Vikings Coordinator to oversee the program and provide guidance to participating students and families. Students enrolled in the virtual program will remain fully connected to Sto-Rox and will graduate with a Sto-Rox School District diploma.

Importantly, virtual learners will continue to have access to the district’s wide range of opportunities and supports, including Pittsburgh Area Community Schools (PACS), Pressley Ridge Counseling Services, after-school activities and events, athletics, Student Council, tutoring services, career and technical education through Parkway West Career and Technology Center (CTC), and more.

Enrollment for the new Virtual Vikings Program will open on August 1, 2026, for the 2026-2027 school year.
