The Jr./Sr. High School is in the process of making many improvements to the infrastructure of the building. The building is over 100 years old, and with that comes some challenges. We currently have some plumbing concerns that must be repaired, which can not be delayed any longer. Beginning Sunday, December 21, 2025, the school will start making these repairs. As a result, the students and staff will be on remote learning on Monday, December 22, 2025, and Tuesday, December 23, 2025, which are the two days prior to our Winter Break. Instruction will occur asynchronously, with synchronous learning taking place at specific times based on the student’s schedule and the need for live discussion or interaction. We will be utilizing two Flexible Instruction Days (FID). If you have a student who attends Parkway West Career & Technology Center, there will be no impact as they were already closed those days for their Winter Break. Students who attend our Primary and Upper Elementary Schools and any student in off-campus placements WILL NOT be impacted. They will attend school as normal.
We will be providing breakfast and lunch for those two days. Jr./Sr. High School students will receive breakfast and lunch bags on Friday, December 19, 2025.
Our Girls Basketball home game scheduled for Monday, December 22, 2025, has been moved to an away game at OLSH. The Boys Basketball home game on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, will take place at our Upper Elementary at its normally scheduled time. Student-Athletes will receive specific instruction regarding practices from their coaches.
All other events and afterschool programs, and activities scheduled at the Jr./Sr. High School for those two days have been cancelled.
