ORIGINAL POST: Graduation Day is fast approaching and the Sto-Rox School District is excited to celebrate the Class of 2025. We want to make sure everyone who attends commencement, on Friday, May 30 has a great time.

However, the district wants to ensure all families - especially seniors and their loved ones - are aware of the following:
Details for Graduates
A special Senior Breakfast will be served at 8 a.m. in the Sto-Rox Jr./Sr. High School Cafeteria, so please join us for breakfast before graduation practice starts.
Graduation practice is scheduled for 9 a.m. on Friday, May 30 and it is mandatory.
The evening of commencement, students must arrive at the Jr./Sr. High by 6:15 p.m. If you are not on time, you will not walk in the graduation ceremony.
The ceremony will start at 7:00 p.m.
No student may walk in the ceremony without completing all graduation requirements and fulfilling any outstanding debts (lunch, athletics, library, etc.). If you have questions please contact School Counselor Joe Herzing at jherzing@srsd.k12.pa.us or 412-771-3213, ext. 4103.
Weather Plan
In the event of bad weather, graduation will be held in the Jr./Sr. High School Gymnasium.
Each student will receive seven (7) commencement tickets at graduation practice. Extra tickets are not available.
Security Information
The “Home” gate at Russellwood Ave. and Dale St. will NOT be open.
All family and friends must come in the “Visitors” gate located by the parking lot.
No bags will be allowed (exceptions will be made for mothers with strollers, diaper bags, etc.). Additionally, no balloons, noisemakers, umbrellas or lawn chairs will be allowed. District security staff will be screening all attendees.
Once you enter, you may not leave and return.
No alcohol, tobacco or vaping products will be allowed.
No outside food or drink will be allowed inside the stadium except bottles of water.
Only graduating seniors and staff are allowed on the football field. This is in the best interest of everyone’s safety and to protect the turf.
Livestream
There will be a livestream of the graduation ceremony provided by the district on its Facebook page. That feed will go live shortly before the ceremony starts.
