The Sto-Rox School District has partnered with Communities in Schools Pittsburgh Allegheny County (CISPAC) to implement this evidence-based school model. Full Service Community Schools (FSCS) provide educational opportunities and supports for students, their families, and community members to achieve school success. The Sto-Rox Vikings Football Team held its home opener on Friday, September 8, hosting the Avonworth Antelopes at Sto-Rox Jr./Sr. High School. Unfortunately, the Vikings fell to the Antelopes by a score of 41-6.

Our partners at Steel City Impact are taking applications right now for their after-school program that starts in Sto-Rox on Monday, October 9. The program is for 7th through 10th grade students and it runs every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday after school from 2:00 - 6:00 p.m. Transportation home will be provided.

One of Sto-Rox’s top sports figures will be honored later this fall with a day on the links in his memory. The Rich Cercone Memorial Golf Outing is planned for Saturday, October 7 at Stonecrest Golf Course in Wampum. Registration and a continental breakfast will be held at 8:30 a.m., with play starting at 9:30.
