The Sto-Rox School District will hold a job fair on Tuesday, July 18 at Sto-Rox Jr./Sr. High School. The district is looking to fill more than a dozen positions, including School Nurse, multiple teacher roles and a 7th - 12th grade principal. Interviews will be done on-site, and the job fair will run from 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

The term ‘living legend’ is tossed around a lot. However, it applies perfectly to one of the newest inductees into the WPIAL Hall of Fame. Bill Palermo was given that honor Friday night.

The Sto-Rox Class of 2023 graduated Friday night in a commencement ceremony at the Jr./Sr. High School stadium. This graduating class was able to celebrate in front of hundreds of their family and friends as they received their diplomas from Superintendent Megan Van Fossan and Principal Raelyn Day, along with other teachers and staff.

The last day of school for Sto-Rox School District students ended with lots of fun and a surprise or two.

School may be out for summer, but children in Sto-Rox School District can still stop in for meals over the next few months. The district’s Summer Meal Program starts June 12 at the Jr./Sr. High School.

Year-end ceremonies were held Thursday for students in the third and first grades at Sto-Rox Primary Center.

Our partners at Steel City Impact are preparing for their Summer after-school program in Sto-Rox that runs from Monday, June 12 through Thursday, July 20. The program will take place Monday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 pm. at Sto-Rox Jr./Sr. High School.

Year-end student celebrations continued on Wednesday with events for 2nd and 6th grades. The graduating 6th graders - the class of 2029 - were the stars of a ceremony in the Upper Elementary gym. Earlier in the day in the Primary Center cafeteria, an end-of-year ceremony was held for Sto-Rox’s second grade classes.
