A top resignation was one of the main issues discussed and voted upon at Thursday night’s Sto-Rox School Board meeting at the Jr./Sr. High School.

Two school buses filled with eighth and ninth grade students from Sto-Rox Jr./Sr. High School rolled up to Parkway West Career and Technology Center late Friday morning. For some, this school was a place they had never seen before. For others, it was a place they wanted to visit again.

Sto-Rox students across all three district schools are being honored Thursday and Friday for their achievements in the classroom. A ceremony was scheduled for Thursday morning at the Jr./Sr. High School. Ceremonies at the Primary Center and Upper Elementary will follow on Friday.

Sto-Rox School District has rescheduled ceremonies to celebrate student achievements during the second nine weeks of the school year. All parents are invited to attend ceremonies taking place on Friday, January 27.

Four Sto-Rox Jr./Sr. High School student-musicians performed Tuesday with a band of all-stars from across the region. Haley Corcoran, Evie Nagel, Marc Brown and Omar Greene represented Sto-Rox on the Western Allegheny County Area (WACA) Honors Band.
