Sto-Rox Receives $100,000 Grant From Tull Family Foundation

Sto-Rox School District is proud to announce it is one of nine local school districts that has received athletics-focused grant money from the Tull Family Foundation. Through the new Team UP initiative, Sto-Rox will receive $100,000, sharing $2 million in grants to support high school athletics. The funding will be put to good use in Sto-Rox, with the high school gym and stadium first in line for upgrades.

“This contribution represents a significant investment in our students, providing them with enhanced opportunities to develop their skills, strengthen their character, and participate in safe, high-quality athletic experiences,” said Sto-Rox Superintendent Sonya Coleman. “We extend our sincere gratitude to the Tull Family Foundation for their commitment to all of our students and our student-athletes and for recognizing the vital role athletics play in promoting teamwork, discipline, and school pride.”

Superintendent Coleman appeared today in Pittsburgh at a news conference announcing Team UP along with other school leaders, Tull Family Foundation co-founder Thomas Full, and several Pittsburgh sports legends. The district thanks the Tull Family Foundation and everyone involved in this endeavor for their forethought and generosity; this grant will impact Sto-Rox student-athletes and the entire district for years to come.
