Sto-Rox Primary Center Celebrates Black History Month

Sto-Rox Primary Center (SRPC) will celebrate Black History Month with a special two-day event honoring leadership, culture, community, and our students. The celebration will take place on the following dates and times:

  • Tuesday, February 24, 9:30 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. (Grades K–1)

  • Wednesday, February 25, 9:30 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. (Grades 2–3)

Students and guests will begin the celebration with breakfast in the cafeteria, followed by a welcome and introduction, a guest speaker, student song performances, and the Student Wax Museum. The Wax Museum, sponsored by Pittsburgh Area Community Schools (PACS) and created by our students, highlights influential historical figures and their lasting contributions.

Community partners will be present on both days to support and celebrate with our school community.

In addition, students who maintained perfect attendance from August 25, 2025, through February 20, 2026, will be recognized during the celebration. These students and their families will receive a gift card or prize provided by PACS and Sto-Rox Primary Center Principal, Dr. Mumau.
