Sealed bids for the sale of the Stephen C. Foster School building will be received by the Sto-Rox School District, 1105 Valley Street, McKees Rocks, PA 15136, until Thursday, October 9, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. Bids received before the bid submission deadline will be opened publicly and read aloud on Friday, October 10, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. Bids received after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids will be returned unopened to the bidders.
A mandatory pre-bid meeting will take place on Monday, October 6, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at the Sto-Rox School District. The purpose of this meeting is to review the bid specification and site conditions. Contractors failing to attend the pre-bid meeting will not be permitted to bid. Copies of the specifications will be provided at the pre-bid meeting.
The character and amount of security to be furnished by each bidder are stated in the above-mentioned contract documents. Participating contractors must be able to provide Criminal Background Checks, FBI Fingerprinting, and Child Abuse Clearances for all employees working on or around the property.
All applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations apply. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and/or to waive any informality, infirmity, omission, defect, irregularity, and/or disqualifying error in any bid.
