Last year, it was the '“Super Seven” senior football class. This year, it’s the “Terrific Twosome.” Sto-Rox student-athletes on Friday got a chance to see two of their peers be recognized after performing on the football field and in the classroom. Amare Harper and Eric McGuire officially announced where they will be playing football - and studying - for the next four years.

Sto-Rox School District families on Wednesday night met with district staff at the Jr./Sr. High School Auditorium for the second in a series of four town halls scheduled for 2023-2024. Congratulations to Boys Varsity Basketball Coach Dwight Hines, who reached 100 wins over the weekend with Sto-Rox’s 63-34 victory over Hopewell at the PBC Classic in Ambridge. Coach Hines and the entire Boys Basketball program continue to make us proud!

A Sto-Rox teacher with a sportswriting background is putting his passion to the forefront in a new book. Chris Scarnati, who teaches English Language Arts to 6th graders at Sto-Rox Upper Elementary, recently published his first book, “Fighting Till The End,” about McKees Rocks world champion boxer Paul Spadafora.

UPDATE, 10:53 a.m. 1/19/24: With today’s snow expected to taper off this afternoon, and after conferring with Keystone Oaks, we are planning to host tonight’s boys basketball games between Sto-Rox and Keystone Oaks. JV tip-off is 6:00 p.m., while the Varsity game is set for 7:30.
