As the Sto-Rox School District community heads through the winter months, it is more important than ever to make sure the district has updated contact information from parents and guardians. We told you in November that Amare Harper would be honored in December by the Pittsburgh Steelers for being part of their All-Peer Team, and here it is! Check out the video from the Steelers/Bengals game at Acrisure Stadium on December 23.

Sto-Rox School District has won a $3,500 grant to help create a digital lending library, allowing the district to better equip students with computers. The grant, a 2024 ASSA/Sourcewell Helping Kids Mini Grant, will be delivered to the district in the next few weeks.

Sto-Rox School District can report that Kayla Durler has been found. We are pleased that she has been located and we thank everyone, including our law enforcement and media partners, who participated in the efforts to locate her. We will provide further updates as they become available.

This evening, an odor was detected in the athletic and music wing of Sto-Rox Jr./Sr. High School. No gas was detected by Columbia Gas during their inspection of the building. However, in order to ensure the well-being of our Jr./Sr. High School students and staff, we have decided to conduct virtual learning for students in grades 7-12 tomorrow (Friday), January 5, 2024. The Sto-Rox Vikings Boys Varsity Basketball Team will hit the road on Wednesday, January 3 to take on Our Lady of the Sacred Heart (OLSH). The sounds of holiday music were heard Wednesday afternoon inside the Upper Elementary Gymnasium. The SRUE Advanced Band and SRUE Chorus performed, along with performances by each of the grade levels. Click through for more photos!
