Students at Sto-Rox Primary Center and Upper Elementary got a taste of something a little different last week, thanks to their counterparts at the Jr./Sr. High School. Students from Elena Mott’s Advanced Food Science class prepared, presented and served spaghetti squash and beets!

It’s October - which means it’s ‘Spooky Season’ - and there are Halloween-themed events coming up this month in the Sto-Rox School District. Click through for more details!

The Sto-Rox Girls Volleyball Team will host its final game of the season on Thursday when Our Lady of the Sacred Heart comes to the Sto-Rox Jr./Sr. High School gym. It will be the Senior Night game, and that means there will be a special ceremony at 5:45 p.m. ahead of the game, which starts at 6:30 p.m.

Sto-Rox Jr./Sr. High School students got an up-close look at manufacturing careers earlier this month in Pittsburgh. Students attended ‘Manufacturing Day’ at Hazelwood Green’s Mill 19. The event, sponsored by Catalyst Connection, was an opportunity for high school students to learn about careers in Pittsburgh’s various manufacturing industries.

Do you want to be a Nittany Lion? That question was hanging over the heads of Sto-Rox students assembled in the Jr./Sr. High School Cafeteria on Monday morning. A representative from Penn State University was there to walk students through the application process and talk about everything Penn State has to offer.

Sto-Rox School District celebrated its alumni, crowned a Homecoming Queen and played a thriller of a football game against Brentwood. Click through for lots of photos from Friday’s action!

The Sto-Rox School District will celebrate the Fall season with a ‘Fall Fest’ on Friday, October 27 at the Sto-Rox Jr./Sr. High School. The event will run from 5:00 - 6:15 p.m., before the Sto-Rox Football season finale vs. Seton LaSalle.
