We are all aware of the possible dangers that our children and schools face daily.  In an effort to keep all of our children safe, the Sto-Rox School District has adopted a new strategy for lockdown procedures known as the A.L.I.C.E. plan. Click through for more information.

Sto-Rox students returned to the classroom on Monday, August 28 at the Primary Center, Upper Elementary and Jr./Sr. High School buildings. The district is so glad to have all of our students back - and - the chance to welcome Kindergarteners and the rest of our new students. The Sto-Rox School Board met last Thursday for its final meeting of August - and the final meeting before Sto-Rox students head back to school. Read on for a brief recap of the meeting and click here for the complete agenda.

The Sto-Rox School District will hold its open houses ahead of the 2023-2024 school year from Tuesday, August 22 through Thursday, August 24. Transportation will be provided for the Primary Center and Upper Elementary Open Houses. The Primary Center Open House will take place from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, August 22. The Upper Elementary Open House will take place from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, August 23. Click through for the pickup times for both of those open houses. Two Sto-Rox schools - the Primary Center and Upper Elementary - will receive a combined $38,000 from the federal Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program (FFVP), awarded by the Pennsylvania Department of Education. This funding will help Sto-Rox School District provide more fresh fruits and vegetables.

The Sto-Rox School District would like to notify the public that the location of Thursday’s meeting of the Sto-Rox Board of School Directors has moved. It will be held at 7:00 p.m. in the Sto-Rox Jr./Sr. High School Auditorium instead of the Cafeteria, due to the heat.

The following is a message from Band Director Loujaue McPherson ahead of the Sto-Rox Marching Band’s band camp. It runs from Monday, August 7 to Friday, August 11 and from Monday, August 14 to Wednesday, August 16 at Sto-Rox Jr./Sr. High School. Camp will run from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. each day.
