Girls in the Sto-Rox School District are getting a chance to hit the gridiron as part of a new pilot program tied to the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Sto-Rox Girls Flag Football Team is part of an effort to make flag football a high school sport sanctioned by the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association, or PIAA.

Dr. Seuss Family Night Scheduled

A night of family fun is set for Wednesday, March 8 at Sto-Rox Primary Center. Dr. Seuss Family Night will be held from 5-7 p.m. at the Multipurpose Room at the Primary Center. This Title I event will also serve as a Kindergarten registration event, for families interested in joining the Sto-Rox School District community.

Lee Davis prides himself on his empathy. Davis, the founder of Lee Davis & Associates Consulting, grew up in Braddock and went to Woodland Hills, seeing and experiencing violence around him regularly. Those experiences shaped the man he is today, a man who looks for solutions when he sees violence happening in communities in Pittsburgh.
