The Sto-Rox School Board on Thursday night approved many items of district business, including donations, contract renewals, new agreements, and much more.

A golf outing honoring one of Sto-Rox’s key sports figures will be held next month. The Rich Cercone Golf Outing is being planned for Saturday, October 8th at Stonecrest Golf Course in Wampum.

Pursuing a career working with ‘man’s best friend’ can become a reality with the Veterinary Assistant Technology program at Parkway West Career & Technology Center. This speciality will give students the lessons and hands-on training to work as a veterinary assistant.

Sto-Rox School District would like to reassure students, parents, and guardians in the wake of inaccurate information circulating in the community. There have been no threats related to the use of guns or knives against Sto-Rox Schools.

FREE Physicals for the Winter and Spring sports seasons will take Friday, October 7th at 2:00 p.m. at the Sto-Rox Jr./Sr. High School gymnasium. If a child is interested in going out for Basketball, Baseball, Softball or Track, please attend!

Safety is one of the top priorities for Sto-Rox School District. It makes sense then, the district turned to a school safety expert to assess its needs ahead of the 2022-2023 school year. Enter Aaron Skrbin, Allegheny Intermediate Unit’s Director of Safety and Security.

Sto-Rox School Board met Thursday night for an Agenda Review Meeting at Sto-Rox Jr./Sr. High School. Several items were discussed, including a pitch for making school buildings more energy efficient, student mental health assistance, and several donations.
