The Sto-Rox Vikings Football Team will play their first road game of the season on Friday, when they travel to Avonworth. The Avonworth School District Athletics Department wanted us to pass along some information regarding tickets, parking, and other issues for Friday night’s game, so please read on.

Students at Sto-Rox Primary Center had their spirits boosted with a donation of backpacks filled with school supplies. Brewer Airport Toyota, in partnership with the Kids in Need Foundation, delivered hundreds of backpacks Tuesday afternoon to children in Kindergarten through Third Grade.

Construction on a key gateway to McKees Rocks will have an impact on Sto-Rox families starting later this month. The McKees Rocks Bridge Preservation Project will get underway on August 22nd with single-lane closures ahead of the work that will begin in September.

Football returned to Sto-Rox High School with the Vikings kicking off their season against Steel Valley on Friday night. Sto-Rox fell short, 27-24, but there were still plenty of big plays and fun to be had.
