Overview

Sto-Rox School District has been experiencing financial hardship for a number of years. This has caused incremental gaps in student success versus other districts in Allegheny County and compared to state averages. The financial status of the school district has led to Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) to step in and recommend a course of action toward financial recovery. Summary

Recovery plan

The PDE assigned a recovery officer, to review our past practices and current status. The SRSD Board has reviewed and approved the recommended plan toward recovery. This plan refines expenditures and income to lead the district out of debt. It is now the guiding principals toward sustainable schools that produce students that are prepared to meet state standards and move toward their individual goals of careers and/or further education.
